The Hamburg Forum of Media Economics (HFM) will hold the Big Data, Protection of Data Privacy, and Competition workshop in Hamburg on 4 November 2016, bringing together high-level representatives from government and industry. NERA Affiliated Academic Prof. Dr. Ulrich Schwalbe will discuss the competitive effects of big data, data analytics, and Industry 4.0. Other speakers in a discussion of the latest developments, risks, and opportunities in today’s digital economy include Dr. Christian Bongard, Coordinator for Digital Economy, Federal Cartel Office, Dennis Kaben, Legal Director, Google Germany, and Dr. Jan Krancke, Vice President, Regulatory Strategy and Economics, Deutsche Telekom.
