Antitrust Seminar: When Do Pricing Algorithms and Competition from Outside the Market Matter?

New York City
24 October 2017
Hosted By: NERA Economic Consulting

This seminar will explore two key elements of the changing antitrust regulatory environment–pricing algorithms and competition coming from outside the market–in an informative presentation and interactive discussion.

Using case studies and examples, participants will learn to identify significant “out-of-market” competition and understand its potential impact on a proposed merger. Participants will also develop an understanding of how pricing algorithms affect competition and potential issues they pose during merger investigations.

The seminar will feature presentations by NERA experts Dr. Jason Hong and Dr. Timothy Watts, and discussions led by Nelson Fitts, Partner, Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz and Eric Stock, Partner, Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.
