NERA Affiliated Academic Dr. Elizabeth Bailey will speak on a panel addressing economic damages at The University of Texas School of Law Conference on Patent Damages. This conference is the second in a series of conferences on patent damages hosted by the school. Topics covered in this session will include: apportionment and patent damages, using damages for deterrence, circularity in patent valuation, and new approaches to calculating patent damages.

An expert in the fields of antitrust and intellectual property, Dr. Bailey focuses, in particular, on the effect of proposed mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures on competition. Dr. Bailey is also a Lecturer in the Finance Group at the University of California Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.
