Marginal Cost Working Group: A Forum for Energy Rate Design Innovation—Spring 2017 Meeting

Seattle, WA
09 May 2017 - 10 May 2017
Hosted By: NERA Economic Consulting

NERA’s Marginal Cost Working Group (MCWG) provides a unique forum for exchange among energy utility professionals seeking insight into emerging developments in energy rate design and cost of service studies. This year's Spring MCWG meeting will be held on 9-10 May 2017 in Seattle.

Directed by NERA Associate Director Amparo Nieto, the group convenes biannually to discuss new rate options, smart-meter enabled demand response initiatives, distributed generation cost-benefit analysis, performance-based regulation, and various other relevant topics.

New utilities are invited to participate as guests for an initial meeting before committing to membership. Becoming a member is particularly beneficial for utility managers and senior-level analysts responsible for ensuring efficient and equitable electricity and natural gas rates, and conducting appropriate analyses of the impact of distributed renewable energy resources in the utility’s service area.

For more details about discussion topics, participating utilities, and membership options, please download our MCWG Brochure. Any utilities that are considering membership are invited to attend the meeting as guests. If interested, please email Karen Brown.
