NERA Director Richard Eichmann will speak at the seminar, “Trade Secret and Employee Mobility.” Mr. Eichmann and co-presenter Neel Chatterjee, a partner at Goodwin Procter LLP, will address “Trade Secret Damages and Remedies.” Their presentation will focus on the legal and equitable remedies (such as injunctive relief, actual damages, unjust enrichment, attorneys’ fees, and punitive damages) available to parties who believe their trade secrets have been obtained unlawfully.

Mr. Eichmann’s presentation will be part of a larger conversation about the Defend Trade Secrets Act of 2016 and the impact it will have on companies’ ability to protect trade secrets, guard against employee raids, mitigate the risk of being sued when recruiting from competitors, and address issues when former employees are hired by a competitor.
