NERA Associate Director Jorge Sanz, in his role as President of the Expert Committee for Climate Change and Energy Transition, participated in the second edition of the Energy Strategy 2050 conference.

Mr. Sanz gave a presentation entitled Transition to a Low-Carbon Economy, Energy Policy and Risk Management and participated in the subsequent panel discussion on ideas, assumptions and objectives for the energy transition. The conference was opened by Mr. Miguel Arias Cañete, EU Climate Action and Energy Commissioner, who addressed climate change and energy policies in the European Union context. The debate focused on topics such as instrumental issues and policies for the energy transition.

The conference was attended by business representatives of the energy sector, energy advisors for the Spanish Congress parliamentary groups, lawyers, consultants and energy companies.
