Dr. Elizabeth M. Bailey Resumes Position as Vice President at NERA Economic Consulting

8 September/New York -- NERA Economic Consulting, a leading global provider of economic advice and analysis in business, legal, and regulatory matters, announced today that Elizabeth M. Bailey has resumed her position as a Vice President in its Global Antitrust Practice. Dr. Bailey will be working out of NERA's Boston office.

Dr. Bailey has held several positions at NERA since 1998, including Senior Consultant and Vice President. Since 2006, she has been a Special Consultant with the firm while serving as a faculty member in the Department of Economics at Arizona State University's W.P. Carey School of Business.

Dr. Bailey is a recognized antitrust and competition expert, providing economic analysis on mergers and acquisitions in the US and Europe, and appearing before the US Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission on a wide variety of transactions. Dr. Bailey has also provided economic analysis of the issues arising in connection with price fixing, attempted monopolization, damage estimation, statistics and econometrics, and breach of contract litigation.

Dr. Bailey has been published in several leading economic journals, including the American Economic Review and the Journal of Economic Perspectives, and was honored with an outstanding teaching award by the W.P. Carey School of Business MBA students. Dr. Bailey is part of the leadership of the ABA's Antitrust Section, as an Editor of the Antitrust Source. She holds a PhD in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
