Transfer Pricing Expert Joins NERA Economic Consulting

New York -- NERA Economic Consulting, a leading global provider of economic research and advisory services in business, legal, and regulatory matters, today announced that Patrick Breslin has joined the firm's Transfer Pricing Practice as Vice President.

Mr. Breslin is based in the firm’s Washington, DC office. He has extensive experience analyzing complex transactions and regulatory issues in the contexts of litigation and other controversy. He has substantial tax-related controversy, audit, and IRS Appeals experience in transactions involving oil and gas production; the consumer electronics, automotive, pharmaceutical, and medical products industries; and in software, music and media, Internet commerce, biotechnology, and other intangible property transactions.
 
Mr. Breslin has also been involved in commercial and IP litigation (non-tax), planning, business restructuring, R&D cost-sharing analysis, Advance Pricing Agreements (APAs), audits, and IRS Appeals settlement negotiations involving multinational corporation (MNC) taxpayers. He has commented extensively on the revised draft Chapter VI on intangible transactions of the OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines and presented to OECD officials and delegates on such issues.
 
Mr. Breslin joins NERA from Bates White, LLC where he was a Principal. He holds a MA in International Economics and Finance from Brandeis University.
