18 February 2016

London, UK–Six NERA Economic Consulting Experts, including: Antoinette Pincott, Dr. Alexander Voegele, Dr. Chudozie Okongwu, Dr. David Tabak, Dr. Jeff Makholm as well as Chairman, Dr. Andrew Carron, have been recognised as leading arbitration expert witnesses in Who's Who Legal Arbitration 2016: Expert Witnesses Analysis.

Who’s Who commented in the guide’s editorial that: “NERA continues its upward trajectory in our research, growing its contingent again year on year to six in this edition.”

In London, the ”well regarded” Ms. Pincott received commendation for her recent testifying, while in Frankfurt, Dr. Voegele was also commended for his “tremendous ability to present complex cases in a way that is comprehensible and relevant." The “never less than impressive” Dr. Okongwu was singled out for his expert testifying experience in ICC and ICSID proceedings.

In the US, the “superb” Dr. Makholm, “intimidatingly smart” Dr. Tabak, and former NERA President Dr. Carron were all also highlighted for their expertise.

Providing authoritative analysis in complex arbitration cases involving multinational parties, NERA’s International Arbitration Practice includes economists and financial experts based in both Europe and the US, with extensive testimony experience under treaty and commercial arbitration rules (ICSID, ICC, LCIA, NAFTA, UNCITRAL, and AAA). The team provides independent economic and financial analysis, valuation opinions, damages assessments, and regulatory opinions, and frequently testifies to their expert reports in locations worldwide.

"This is tremendous recognition for NERA’s international arbitration work, and we are pleased that so many of our experts are named in this year's list of established expert witnesses in arbitration cases," said Ms. Pincott. "NERA is dedicated to serving our clients with the highest level of expertise and commitment, and we are honoured that lawyers and law firm clients around the globe have recognised our industry leaders and given us such high praise."

This year’s guide listed practitioners commended for their expertise in relation to international commercial and investor state arbitration proceedings. Experts were included based upon comprehensive, independent survey work with both general counsel and private practice lawyers worldwide. Only specialists who met independent international research criteria were listed.
