NERA Antitrust/Competition Experts Named Future Leaders in Who’s Who Legal: Competition 2017

Three NERA economists were recently recognized as Future Leaders in Who’s Who Legal: Competition 2017. Dr. Elizabeth Bailey, Prof. Dr. Frank Maier-Rigaud, and Grant Saggers were all among this year’s honorees.

Dr. Bailey is an Affiliated Academic and expert on the economics of antitrust and intellectual property, particularly on the effects of proposed mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures on competition. In addition to her work with NERA, Dr. Bailey is a Lecturer in the Finance Group at the University of California, Berkeley Hass School of Business.

Prof. Dr. Maier-Rigaud is Managing Director and Head of NERA’s European Competition Economics Group. He has more than 15 years of experience encompassing all areas of competition economics, including the competitive effects of mergers, cartels, quantification of damages, abuse of dominance, state aid, and vertical and horizontal restraints.

Based in London, Grant Saggers is an Associate Director specializing in competition economics and regulatory strategy. He has led companies through matters involving market investigations, merger clearances, state aid, and abuse of dominance. Mr. Saggers was also named the UK consulting industry’s Strategy Consultant of the Year in 2015.
