NERA Managing Director Dr. Graeme Hunter, Affiliated Academic Dr. Michael Baye, and Consultant Dr. Emily Walden contributed to a book reflecting important developments in antitrust economics. Their chapter focuses on the Dean Foods-Foremost Farms consummated merger—a case that was successfully resolved by the US Department of Justice, thanks in part to the economic analysis provided by Dr. Hunter and Dr. Baye. The book also looks at other case studies and examines the critical role of economic analysis in recent antitrust case decisions and policy.
