Insider Trading At A Glance

Capabilities and Services

A long-standing priority of civil and criminal enforcement agencies, insider trading enforcement has assumed even greater prominence in recent months. High-profile investigations of hedge funds, so-called expert networks, corporate executives, investment bankers, and even attorneys accused of insider trading have been making headlines in the United States. Authorities in the United Kingdom and Canada have also been active in their pursuit of alleged insider traders. Some cases have been international in scope, including a joint investigation by the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Britain's Financial Services Authority of family members in both countries.

Working for private litigants in some cases and the government in others, NERA experts have over 20 years of experience in providing economic advice and testimony to parties involved in insider trading investigations and litigation.
