NERA economists reviewed the terms of a proposed settlement of a class of purchasers of CareMark Threshold Appreciation Price Securities. Their affidavits showed that the proposed settlement provided significant benefits to class members and compared favorably with a reported previous settlement by investors who opted out of the class.

The proposed settlement was approved by the court.
