IQPC held its second conference on subprime and structured finance litigation in New York City on 18-19 November 2008 to examine the best strategies in defending against litigation related to the ongoing subprime mortgage/liquidity crunch. On the first day of the conference, NERA Senior Vice President Dr. Faten Sabry delivered a presentation entitled "Discussing Controversies in Credit Default Swap Disputes." Dr. Sabry examined current allegations and claims in credit default swap cases and evaluated the economic underpinnings of analyses used by both plaintiffs and defendants.
