The Canadian Chapter of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society held this one-day conference in Montreal on 6 May 2008 in order to explore the impact of the subprime meltdown and the asset-backed commercial paper crisis on the US and Canada, as well as from an international perspective. Participants also discussed claims arising from these crises and their impact on the Canadian insurance market. As part of the event, NERA Senior Vice President Dr. Faten Sabry participated in a panel discussion on the subprime crisis. Dr. Sabry's presentation provided an overview of the origins and nature of the subprime meltdown.
