NERA Vice President Dr. Sharon Brown-Hruska participated in a panel discussion on complying with the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act at a Thomson Reuters forum in New York City on 15 June 2011. As firms race to finalize their new policies and procedures in response to the Act, there has been little time to consider the long-term impact of this game-changing law. The panel discussed operational and systemic risk issues; derivatives and swaps; compensation issues, capital requirements, and whistleblower provisions; and the challenges of implementing the Act.
