The Bankruptcy Law Section of the State Bar of Texas held a two-day bankruptcy course in Houston on 20-21 February 2014. The course covered a range of timely topics, including recent case laws and developments; interest rates and make-whole provisions; confidentiality agreements and ethical document production; structural dismissal and conversions; and current bankruptcy issues in the oil and gas sector. As part of the program, NERA Senior Vice President Dr. Faten Sabry participated in a panel discussion entitled "Valuation Issues in Bankruptcy (Market Evidence v. Traditional Valuation Methods)." The panel was moderated by the Honorable Judge Marvin Isgur of the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.
