- 02 August 2018
Hosted By: Environmental Defence Society
Has New Zealand reached peak cow? As highlighted by the 2017 general election, reforms to regulations impacting New Zealand's freshwater resources are a priority for the new administration. NERA Principal Kevin Counsell will discuss the economic impact of New Zealand’s cattle industry and other freshwater reform matters at the Environmental Defence Society’s conference on 1-2 August 2018 in Auckland. Mr. Counsell and other panelists will look at how economic analysis can shed light on policy considerations and will address the question of using price signals and other economic instruments to manage water use and allocation.
