Digital Economy, Innovation, and Competition Law Roundtable

NERA Associate Director and competition expert Dr. Craig Malam will participate in a law and economics roundtable discussion of various aspects of the digital economy, innovation, and competition law. Dr. Malam and other experts will touch on several topics, including:

  • A framework for understanding and analyzing the competitive effects of data;
  • Preserving digital innovation through competition policy, focusing on market definition, nascent competition, and the acquisition of start-ups; and
  • Regulatory models for the platform economy: what is the best approach to regulation?

The session will be moderated by Howard Shelanski, Professor of Law at Georgetown University Law School and partner at Davis Polk in Washington, DC.
