03 December 2021
Hosted By: Concurrences
In February 2021, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) announced the launch of a new initiative with the aim of simplifying merger control in the EU. Additionally, Article 22 of the EU merger regulation was reformed and, in the US, changes were made regarding the Biden administration reexamining the US merger guidelines and its enforcement policies.
On 3 December at 10:30 CET, NERA Economic Consulting Director Dr Nicola Tosini will participate in a panel discussion, “Recent Merger Control Initiatives: What to Expect?,” with FTC Commissioner Rebecca Slaughter, Novartis Lead Group Antitrust Counsel Molly Herron, Competition Authority Deputy General Rapporteur Etienne Chantrel, and DG COMP Deputy Head of Unit Simon Genevaz, as part of the 9th Annual Concurrences Global Merger Control Conference titled “Agencies and General Counsel: What’s on Their Radar?”
Moderated by Dechert Partners Clemens York and Mike Cowie, the panel of experts will discuss the recent changes in EU and US merger control and give perspective on what to expect going forward.
