On 12 July, NERA Director Kevin Counsell will speak at a Law and Economics Association of New Zealand, Inc. (LEANZ) seminar titled “Legal and Economics Challenges with RMA Reform” alongside Buddle Findlay Partner David Allen. The panel will explore the Natural and Built Environment Bill, the New Zealand government’s proposed replacement for the much-criticized Resource Management Act 1991. The seminar provides an opportunity to consider the Select Committee’s findings and considerations for the bill moving forward.
