New York -- NERA Economic Consulting, a leading global provider of economic advice and analysis in business, legal, and regulatory matters, announced today that Dr. Frank Maier-Rigaud, Head of NERA's Competition Economics Group in Europe, was named to the Advisory Board of Wirtschaft und Wettbewerb (WuW). The publication, known in English as the Journal of German and European Competition Law, is one of the oldest journals in the field of European competition law and policy.

Dr. Maier-Rigaud joined NERA in 2013 following a distinguished career as a senior economist, a competition policy and strategy expert, and a respected academic. He remains Full Professor in the Department of Economics and Quantitative Methods at the IÉSEG School of Management in Paris and the Université Catholique de Lille, and a member of LEM-CNRS, the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique. In joining the WuW Advisory Board, Dr. Maier-Rigaud will work to attract authors and articles that lend a broader international perspective to the Journal, which has begun accepting papers written in English.

"Dr. Maier-Rigaud's extensive practical and academic expertise serves NERA's clients extremely well and will be a tremendous asset to the WuW Advisory Board," said Dr. Ramsey Shehadeh, Senior Vice President and Chair of NERA’s Antitrust Practice.
