New York -- NERA Economic Consulting is pleased to announce that nine experts based in the firm’s United States and European offices have been promoted to officer-level positions. These promotions further strengthen NERA's capabilities in its Energy, Antitrust and Competition, Intellectual Property, Telecommunications, and Transfer Pricing practices.
Dr. Frank Maier-Rigaud has been promoted to Director, and Dr. Graeme Hunter, Richard Marsden, Dr. Christine Siegwarth Meyer, and Sandra Ringelstetter Ennis have been promoted to Senior Vice President. James Grayburn, Vakhtang Kvekvetsia, Amanda Pletz, and Dr. Soren Tang Sorensen have been promoted to Associate Director.

Dr. Maier-Rigaud is the Head of NERA's Competition Economics Group in Europe. His expertise encompasses all areas of competition economics, notably competitive effects of mergers, cartels, vertical and horizontal restraints, abuse of dominance, state aid, and damages claims. He is also a Full Professor in the Department of Economics and Quantitative Methods at the IÉSEG School of Management Paris, the LEM-CNRS, and the Université Catholique de Lille.

Mr. Grayburn is a member of NERA's Global Energy, Environment, and Network Industries Practice with almost twenty years' experience as a professional economist in both regulatory bodies and in private consultancy.
Mr. Kvekvetsia, also a member of NERA’s Energy group, leads modeling tasks for corporate and government clients, with applications including market due diligence, valuation, and risk analysis of generation and storage assets, merger cases, and litigation. He developed a range of NERA's in-house tools including EnergyMetricsTM, our energy risk management and valuation platform.
Ms. Pletz is an expert in NERA's Global Transfer Pricing Practice. She specializes in cross border transactional pricing and asset valuation issues, with a focus on the financial services sector. She supports clients on a range of transfer pricing issues from planning and design to providing expert opinions in cases of tax controversy.
Dr. Sorensen, an expert in NERA's Auction Group, has worked on spectrum auctions in more than 25 countries. His work includes auction design and auction implementation for regulators as well as advice on bidding strategies for mobile operators.

Ms. Ringelstetter Ennis has been involved in the energy industry for over 25 years as a consultant and expert specializing in wholesale electricity markets, asset valuation, and the modeling of electric systems. Her expertise includes electricity market assessment and price forecasting, power plant valuation and appraisals, financing support, due diligence and transaction support, and emission analyses related to the NSR regulations of the Clean Air Act.

Dr. Hunter is a member of NERA's Antitrust Practice, where his work focuses on analysis of the competitive effects of mergers and the effects of alleged anticompetitive behavior, and assessing liability and damages. He has presented his analysis to the FTC, DOJ, and SEC, and submitted reports and testified at deposition about his analysis.
With a team based in London and New York City, but working around the world, Mr. Marsden's practice focuses on the design of allocation mechanisms, including auctions and trading, bidding strategy, and related competition, pricing, regulatory, and public policy issues. His expertise spans multiple industries, including broadcasting, energy, mobile telephony, procurement, radio spectrum, and transport.

Dr. Meyer conducts economic research and analysis in the areas of intellectual property economics, antitrust, and commercial damages. She has written expert reports and testified in deposition and at trial about her economic analysis in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
