Dr. Lauren Stiroh Named Chair of NERA’s Global Antitrust and Competition Practice

New York—NERA Economic Consulting is pleased to announce that Dr. Lauren Stiroh has been named Chair of the firm's leading Global Antitrust and Competition Practice, effective 1 July 2016.

Dr. Stiroh, a recognized expert in the economics of antitrust, intellectual property, and commercial damages, takes over for Dr. Ramsey Shehadeh, who has finished a successful term as Chair of the practice and will continue in his role as Senior Vice President at the firm.

Dr. Stiroh has conducted research, prepared expert reports, and testified in court on a variety of issues arising from antitrust allegations, such as monopolization, exclusionary conduct, tying, vertical restrictions, price fixing, predatory pricing, price discrimination, and abuse of standard setting. She has extensive experience analyzing the competitive effects of mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures, and consulting on matters related to assessing impact and damages in class action litigation. Dr. Stiroh has been retained by numerous large US and multinational companies and has performed or critiqued damage calculations in dozens of industrial settings.

Dr. Stiroh is recognized annually in the Global Arbitration Review’s The International Who's Who of Competition Lawyers & Economists and holds a PhD in economics from Harvard University.
