In Memoriam: Dr. Stuart L. Harshbarger

It is with great sadness that the consultants and staff of NERA Economic Consulting mourn the passing of our friend and colleague, Dr. Stuart L. Harshbarger.
Stuart will be remembered not only as a kind-hearted colleague with an exuberant wit, but also for his economic and analytical acumen in directing international tax projects as a member of the firm’s Transfer Pricing Practice. Stuart joined NERA in 2005.
He enjoyed mentoring the next generation of economists both at NERA and through his alumni work at the George Washington University (MPhil ’93, PhD ’94), where he established the GW Economics Alumni Advisory Committee.
During his career, Stuart was a vice president and program director of the National Economists Club in Washington, DC; served on the US Postal Service Customer Advisory Council in Chicago; and was a member of the Chapter Committee of the National Association for Business Economics.
Stuart exemplified the very best of NERA, and we miss him greatly. We wish to extend our deepest sympathies to his wife and family, as well as everyone else who was fortunate enough to know him.
