Ten NERA Experts Included in Who’s Who Legal Arbitration 2020

New York - NERA Economic Consulting is pleased to announce that 10 of its experts have been recognized as leading practitioners in arbitration by Who’s Who Legal (WWL).

WWL Arbitration 2020 singles out arbitration lawyers and expert witnesses renowned for their expertise in resolving complex international disputes. WWL’s research, along with nominations from peers and clients, identified 10 NERA experts as leaders in their field with expertise in both commercial and investor-state disputes. 

Seven NERA experts were included in the Expert Witnesses section:

  • Dr. Alan Cox, Managing Director, was identified as a leading expert witness with specialized knowledge of trademark and patent disputes. 

  • Dr. Christian Dippon, Managing Director, was recognized for his strong ability “to understand complex matters from business and economic perspectives” and praised for his “incredible thoroughness” and “high intelligence.” 

  • Dr. Richard Hern, Managing Director, was identified as a “leading damages and valuations expert” with extensive experience in commercial, investor-state, and international arbitration. 

  • Dr. Jeff D. Makholm, Managing Director, was described as a “go-to name for high-value infrastructure, energy and transport disputes.” 

  • Dr. Chudozie Okongwu, Managing Director, was identified as “one of the best experts around” and praised for his “focus, eloquence and credibility.” 

  • Dr. Lauren J. Stiroh, Managing Director, was recognized as a leading economic expert witness who specializes in the economics of antitrust, intellectual property, and commercial damages.

  • Mark L. Berenblut, Affiliated Consultant, was praised for his “excellent report writing and preparation” and “strong analytical skills.” 

In addition, three NERA experts were shortlisted for inclusion in the WWL’s Future Leaders series as market leaders of the future and the top of their generation in international arbitration: 

  • Erin B. McHugh, Associate Director, was recognized as an experienced expert who focuses on the quantification of damages with strong capability in the financial sector and extensive expertise in financial products, investments, and derivatives.
