NERA Welcomes Three New Experts

NERA is pleased to announce that three seasoned securities and finance experts have joined the firm’s Chicago office. Adam Warren joins as Managing Director, and Gary Napadov and Jonathan Polonsky as Senior Consultants. Collectively, Mr. Warren, Mr. Napadov, and Mr. Polonsky bring over five decades of experience in economic research and analysis, regulatory and commercial dispute consulting, and expert witness testimony.

Mr. Warren has over three decades of experience as an accomplished and recognized testifying expert. His areas of expertise include analyzing financial, commodity, and complex derivative instruments; trading systems and processes; financial markets and exchanges; technology and operations; and market, credit, and operational risk management of financial, derivative, and commodity products. He has assisted numerous securities, commodity, and derivative exchanges, as well as regulators, brokerage firms, clearing houses, hedge funds, and investment management companies globally. He has testified in federal and state courts, as well as FINRA and other SRO arbitrations. Mr. Warren received his MBA from the University of Chicago.

Mr. Napadov has more than 15 years of experience in financial and economic advisory and litigation consulting. He has testified as an expert in international arbitration and has advised clients before US federal and state courts, as well as SRO arbitration and mediation forums. Drawing on his work with plaintiffs, defendants, and government agencies, Mr. Napadov provides a seasoned perspective as he advises client-counsel across all stages of pre-litigation and litigation.

Mr. Polonsky has nearly 15 years of experience in disputes and matters related to mergers and acquisitions (M&A), damages, and valuation for Fortune 500 companies, governmental institutions, and private companies. He has advised companies in a wide range of industries, including financial services, real estate, and health care. Mr. Polonsky has substantial experience analyzing and calculating damages from lost profits, breaches of fiduciary duty, capital structure changes, and allegations of aiding and abetting fraud.
