NERA was commissioned by Oftel to develop and run a model which identifies trends in the pricing of mobile telephony services in the UK.
The following report describes the methodology and the results obtained from the modeling exercise. Section 2 provides an overview of the methodology highlighting some key points; Section 3 describes the date used; Section 4 describes the user profiles that have been developed and used in the model; Section 5 explains which aspects of pricing of services have and have not been included in the model; Section 6 provides the technical details of the calculations used in the model; Finally, in Section 7, this report presents the results and discusses the conclusions.
