On 4 December 2008, NERA Special Consultant Dr. Hethie Parmesano filed direct testimony with the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission on behalf of Northern Indiana Public Service Company (NIPSCO). The testimony is regarding a fuel adjustment clause modification that will take into account the voltage level of service and time pattern of electricity consumption by customer groups (Cause No. 43618). The modification will result in an allocation of fuel and purchased power costs that better reflects the costs of providing service to the various customer groups, and is a step in NIPSCO’s plan to implement electric rates that provide improved price signals to consumers making electricity consumption decisions.
