Bernzomatic, a trade name for Irwin Industrial Tool (owned by Newell-Rubbermaid), sued Worthington Industries, Inc. for various allegedly harmful acts, including breaching their long-standing supply agreement under which Worthington supplied gas cylinders to Bernzomatic.
A NERA team led by Dr. Sumanth Addanki was retained by counsel for Bernzomatic to calculate the overcharges resulting from the alleged conduct. Dr. Addanki testified in federal court to a jury regarding NERA’s measure of these overcharges.
The jury found in favor of Bernzomatic and awarded damages very close to NERA’s estimates.
