Conducting a Study on the Costs and Benefits of Additional Market Making in the NEM

On behalf of the Australian Energy Market Commission, NERA conducted cost benefit analysis on proposed policy options to promote liquidity in the National Electricity Market. We quantified intervention, developing a methodology to model and estimate the benefits of greater liquidity, and conducted international benchmarking on liquidity policy interventions and their results.
