NERA designed and implemented a request for proposals on behalf of the Illinois Power Agency to procure electric supply to serve eligible customers of Ameren Illinois Company (AIC), Commonwealth Edison Company (ComEd), and MidAmerican Energy Company (MEC). The procurement events held in spring 2025 procured quantities of on- and off-peak energy in monthly periods. 

The Illinois Commerce Commission approved the results of the block energy procurements that procured electric supply from 1 June 2025 to 31 May 2028.
