Advising on Ameren Illinois Company’s Capacity Procurement

On behalf of the Illinois Power Agency, NERA designed and implemented a request for proposals to procure capacity for Ameren Illinois Company (AIC) to satisfy a portion of its forecast requirement in the 2027/28 and the 2028/29 Planning Years. The product procured is Zonal Resource Credits (ZRCs), either physical or financially settled, to satisfy the resource adequacy requirements of MISO.

The Illinois Commerce Commission approved the results of the capacity procurement event held in spring 2026.
