Advising on the Fall 2026 Procurement of Capacity for Ameren Illinois Company

NERA designed and implemented a request for proposals on behalf of the Illinois Power Agency to procure capacity for Ameren Illinois Company (AIC) during the fall 2026 procurement period to satisfy a portion of its forecast requirement in the 2027/28 and the 2028/29 Planning Years. The product procured is Zonal Resource Credits (ZRCs), either physical or financially settled, to satisfy the resource adequacy requirements of MISO.

The Illinois Commerce Commission approved the results of the capacity procurement event held in fall 2026.
