R4 Holdings, LLC and Hill International, Inc. v. General Atlantic Partners 46, LP et al.
A co-owner of Tickets.com brought suit against the company and other investors claiming, among other things, breach of contract and fraud by the Company and its Board of Directors. Plaintiffs sought about $110 million in damages based on lost proceeds from the inability to sell insider shares during the lockup period after the IPO.
Retained by the defense, NERA Senior Vice President Dr. Vinita Juneja provided a deposition, and Dr. Juneja and the NERA team assisted counsel by analyzing the corporate structure and financial history of Tickets.com. NERA’s analysis was incorporated into the defendants’ trial exhibits and arguments.
Following a two-month trial, an Orange County Superior Court jury returned a verdict in favor of the defense on all but one count. No damages were awarded.
