Catarina Branco is an economist with extensive experience in transfer pricing and intellectual property (IP) valuation. She has been involved in a range of cases involving transfer pricing planning, documentation, APA procedures, and tax audit support. She is experienced in valuations of IP in business restructurings and license rate assessments.

Ms. Branco has computed economic quantifications for cases involving tax disputes and arbitration in collaboration with global law firms and multinational firms. Her role includes analyzing complex issues and providing expert reports. She has worked on cases in the industrial goods industry, the fast-moving consumer goods industry, and the sport marketing rights industry, among others.

Ms. Branco is a co-author of the leading German book “Transfer Pricing” in which she provides detailed explanations for various transfer pricing methods. She has also published her work in scientific journals such as the Journal of Urban Economics. Ms. Branco has been recognized by the Bank of Portugal with the José da Silva Lopes award—an award given biennially for the best master’s thesis in economics.
