Erin Crockett has more than 20 years of experience in litigation consulting and has provided deposition and trial testimony. As an expert in economic issues related to intellectual property, Dr. Crockett has substantial experience analyzing damages from infringement of patents, copyrights and trademarks, and theft of trade secrets. She frequently assesses the valuation of intangible assets and estimation of reasonable royalties. Dr. Crockett’s work also encompasses assessments of unjust enrichment, lost profits, injunctive relief, demand and price erosion analysis, price elasticity, and broader competition issues.
Dr. Crockett has experience analyzing economic issues related to the capture of biometric information and artificial intelligence, including large language models (LLMs). She has also provided expertise in matters involving breach of contract, securities fraud, financial markets litigation, employment disputes, and certification of class actions.
Dr. Crockett regularly applies advanced econometric and financial techniques—such as regression analysis, nonparametric methods, quasi‑experimental designs, and financial time‑series modeling—in the context of complex disputes. Having spent a decade as a full-time economics professor, Dr. Crockett has published work in academic handbooks and peer-reviewed journals.
