Dr. Molly Sapia is a Consultant in NERA’s Intellectual Property and Survey and Sampling Practices. She is based in NERA’s Philadelphia office. Her survey expertise includes research design, questionnaire design, data analysis, survey programming and fielding, and monitoring data collection. She also has experience in qualitative research methods, such as personal interviews, focus groups, and participant observation.
Dr. Sapia’s experience in intellectual property surveys includes work with likelihood of confusion surveys, false advertising surveys, secondary meaning surveys, and other surveys for litigation under the Lanham Act. She has also worked on various conjoint surveys used in the calculation of damages in class action cases.
Dr. Sapia earned a PhD in Sociology from Temple University, where she taught various statistics and data analysis labs. As part of her dissertation, she conducted a survey of 400 sexual violence compliance professionals at American universities. Additionally, Dr. Sapia has worked in education research as the lead assessment researcher for Temple University’s General Education Office.
