Dr. Niraja Srinivasan assists law firms and multinational companies with expert economic analysis to resolve transfer pricing disputes in matters involving intellectual property (IP), business valuation, cross-border financing, and arm’s length compensation for global value generation. She brings a unique perspective to her solutions by leveraging 25 years of corporate and consulting leadership experience in industries that include IT infrastructure manufacturing, software and digital services, consumer goods manufacturing and retail, energy services, and pharmaceutical/medical device manufacturing.
Dr. Srinivasan identifies cashflow-generative strategies and operational changes in transfer pricing in the context of M&A planning and post-deal integration. She is a trained business and IP valuation expert and deploys her knowledge of corporate financial forecasting to provide clients with robust and thoughtful appraisals. She has created world-class transfer pricing models for a variety of intercompany financial transactions including cash pools, term loans, contingencies, credit swaps, and financial and parent guarantees. She has negotiated Advance Pricing Agreements and secured favorable audit settlements in Asia, Europe, and North America.
Dr. Srinivasan joins her NERA colleagues to help shape the future of global transfer pricing policies and bring insight and certainty to NERA’s clients. In particular, she designs and implements BEPS Pillar One models for clients with complex principal structures and supply chains.
Dr. Srinivasan is an Adjunct Professor at Texas A&M University School of Law, where she lectures on international tax risk management with an emphasis on “going digital” high-tech business models. She is Vice-Chair of the American Bar Association Tax Section’s Transfer Pricing Committee and spearheads the Committee’s educational outreach programs. Dr. Srinivasan is a frequent speaker at tax and finance conferences and has published extensively on topics related to taxation and transfer pricing in the digital economy.
Prior to joining NERA, Dr. Srinivasan was a Vice President in Dell Technologies’ Global Tax group. Among her other previous affiliations, she served as Director in General Electric’s M&A Tax Division and Transfer Pricing Center of Excellence, provided economic analysis and consulted on cost sharing and supply chain restructuring for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLC and at A.T. Kearney.
Dr. Srinivasan received her PhD in economics and MA in public policy and management from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
