Joel Davis is an energy and climate change economist. Mr. Davis supports his clients in matters including carbon pricing, nuclear, coal and gas regeneration, energy security, electricity networks, climate change, competition issues, and infrastructure analysis.
Prior to joining NERA, Mr. Davis worked at the Department for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) advising on a range of carbon pricing issues and policies, which led to the creation of the UK Emissions Trading Scheme. He has provided analytical evidence on energy policies to influence crucial features of multi-billion-dollar programs such as new nuclear and the creation of the UK Capacity Market. He has also provided advice on a range of issues and applied his detailed knowledge of energy economics, regulated monopolies, pricing controls, and competition economics.
