Patricio Suarez Urtaza is a trusted economist who advises clients on issues spanning regulatory and competition policy, due diligence, valuation, and international arbitration.

Mr. Suarez Urtaza has designed an electricity tariff for a utility company in the United Arab Emirates, advised investors in the regulatory due diligence process for the acquisition of electricity distribution networks in Great Britain and Southern Europe, and assessed damages in international arbitration disputes in the South Caucasus and Latin America.

Prior to joining NERA, Mr. Suarez Urtaza worked as a specialist at the ifo Institute (the Leibniz Institute for Economic Research at the University of Munich), where he analyzed how air pollution is distributed across socioeconomic characteristics in Germany.
