Ronald Bernstein is a transfer pricing expert based in Berlin. He works with clients from various industries to design, implement, and defend transfer pricing models. His clients range from the best-known companies in the world covering iconic brands to midsize companies and leading law firms. He believes carefully balancing complexity and simplification in finding pragmatic and defendable transfer pricing solutions is a crucial challenge.
Dr. Bernstein has worked for industry-leading companies to provide rigorous analysis of value chains and operating models, structuring of supply chains, valuation of intangibles, financial modelling, and business restructuring projects, including post-merger integrations. At NERA, he has gained experience in litigation cases and methodologically focused on sophisticated economics-based profit split models.
Prior to joining NERA, Dr. Bernstein worked in the German transfer pricing practice of a Big Four firm for approximately nine years. During this time, he was seconded to the firm’s UK office for two years. Dr. Bernstein also worked as an external contractor for one of the firm’s major clients in the transportation sector, where he gathered valuable industry experience.
