Siwen Cai is a Consultant and Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) charterholder in NERA’s Global Transfer Pricing Practice. Her areas of expertise include developing and defending effective arm’s length pricing strategies, conducting sound economic analysis based on functional reviews and value chain analysis, and building financial models for the purpose of transfer pricing planning and valuation of intangibles. She has assisted clients with the negotiation of unilateral and multilateral Advance Pricing Agreements (APA) with tax authorities in North America, Asia, and Europe, the preparation of transfer pricing compliance documentation for different jurisdictions, as well as the design and implementation of global profit split systems to align profit allocation with value creation and optimize enterprise resources.

Ms. Cai advises multinational corporations on complex intercompany transactions and helps businesses assess and manage transfer pricing risks under various market situations and TP regulations. She has provided transfer pricing related consultations to clients in a variety of industries, including consumer electronics, automotive, retail, industrial machinery, pharmaceutical, technology, precious metal, and others.

Ms. Cai holds a Master of Arts in International Economics and Finance from Brandeis University and a Bachelor of Economics from University of International Business and Economics in China. She is a member of CFA Society of San Francisco.
