Sofia Birattari supports clients in the energy sector and other regulated industries in the UK, Europe, and Australia.

Ms. Birattari’s core focus is in the electricity sector. She has extensive experience working with institutional clients on large reform packages in the wholesale power market, covering electricity pricing, grid access, and load flexibility. She has helped assess proposed policies by developing power system modelling exercises, including analysis of nodal networks. Ms. Birattari has also advised commercial clients in multiple jurisdictions on market design and issues related to the transformation of energy systems.

In addition, Ms. Birattari has assisted European and British utility networks in the electricity and gas sector during regulatory review and regulatory appeal processes, advising on cost assessment methodologies and incentive design. She has also provided support for commercial clients throughout due diligence and asset valuations in the energy and utilities sectors.
