The American Society of International Law will hold its annual meeting in Washington, DC on 25-28 March 2009. The Meeting will open with a free special seminar on 25 March to discuss the past 30 years of intellectual property developments in the People's Republic of China (PRC). NERA Senior Vice President Dr. Alan Cox will participate in a panel -- to be moderated by Elizabeth Chien-Hale, Institute for Intellectual Property in Asia -- examining PRC patent law amendments. Dr. Cox will deliver a presentation entitled "Trends in Damage Awards for IP Infringement in the PRC." He will discuss NERA's recent work in this area and the impact of the revisions in the Patent Law. The meeting will also feature Dr. Zhipei Jiang, Retired Chief Judge of the IP Tribunal, People's Supreme Court of China.
