The San Francisco chapter of the Licensing Executives Society held a meeting on 30 March 2011 that examined the impacts of recent decisions handed down by the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit (CAFC) on intellectual property law. NERA Senior Vice President Dr. Alan Cox participated in a discussion of the CAFC's rulings in Uniloc, ResQnet, Cornell, and other cases. The discussion addressed how these decisions directly affect future licensing negotiations, the determination of intellectual property value, the assessment of damages in litigation, and related intellectual property monetization strategies.
