On 2 March 2015, NERA Consultant Ralph Meghames was invited to give a lecture at the Paris Dauphine University in the context of an International Economics Course. Mr. Meghames delivered a presentation entitled "An Introduction to the Economics of Intercompany Relationships (Transfer Pricing)." The lecture aimed to introduce the economic rationale behind the analysis of intercompany relationships and present a number of tools to apply the arm's length principle, such as value chain analysis and bargaining position/contribution analysis. Mr. Meghames also provided participants (second year post-graduate students) with specific examples where economic theory (Game Theory/Shapley Value) and financial theory (WACC analysis) apply to practical cases.
