NERA is proud to announce the launch of Lex Aequa — Women x Law x Economics, an initiative to create an ongoing dialogue among women working in the fields of law and economics. Through a series of workshops and discussions, webinars, and social networking we hope to form a supportive cadre and bring together the complementary perspectives of lawyers and economists to identify policy, legal, and economic solutions to some of the challenges faced by women professionals.
The inaugural event, a workshop on “How to Spot Subtle Bias at Work and Eliminate It,” will be held 5:00 - 8:00 pm, 11 October 2017 in Washington, DC. The workshop will be led by Joan Williams, Founding Director of the Center for WorkLife Law at UC Hastings College of Law. Described by The New York Times as having "something approaching rock star status," Professor Williams has received numerous awards and authored several books, including What Works for Women at Work: Four Patterns Every Woman Should Know.
