NERA Vice President Dr. Sharon Brown-Hruska delivered a lunch presentation at the joint meeting of the American Gas Association's Legal Committee and FERC Regulatory Committee in Washington, DC on 7 December 2010. Dr. Brown-Hruska, a former Commissioner and Acting Chairman of the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), discussed the CFTC's implementation of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. She shared her views on the future of financial market regulation as well as the challenges that gas and other utilities face in complying with the CFTC's requirements.
