The scale of the leaky homes problem in New Zealand is immense, and traditional legal processes often fail to deal with the issues efficiently and fairly. This conference, held in Auckland on 17 September 2010, brought together various industry participants to offer their perspectives on the current systems and possible reforms. NERA Director James Mellsop served as a Commentator on a paper titled "Other Options for Reform and Policy/Economic Considerations," presented by Geoff McLay, Reader in Law at Victoria University of Wellington.
